There has been a lot going on. I'm still working my way through some books. I'm about halfway through the Horne book. Just before I returned the Fodor's Guide to the library, I received one as a gift. So I'll be able to pick it up and put it down whenever I like now. I'm still browsing through trauma books to keep abreast of the best preparations and methods. One of the most recent ones I've looked through was by Levine and Kline. Interesting and helpful, mostly reinforced things I already do which was extremely reassuring.
Earlier this month a friend directed me to a few online [video] programs. This one, The Old Man and the Storm really touched me. What a story. So much determination and frustration with so little reward. Disappointing for him, to say the least. Poor guy.
PBS also has some [video] programming available. I never knew there was so much I never knew about New Orleans. You can check their stuff out here.
I'm going to work on posting more often. I've convinced the kids to start posting their thoughts in a blog as well. It is just starting out so it may take awhile for it to catch on. But I'll keep you posted if it gets interesting!
So long for now.
