The Neolithic Period

"The warming of the climate . . . was so gradual that the people of the time could not have known it was occurring, yet it altered life as dramatically as any changes that have come since. The retreating glaciers exposed large temperate regions, and rising ocean levels changed the shorelines of continents, in some places making islands."

Found a world map here. Interactive maps here

We're into our own version of the Neolithic Period. Crazy. Glad I can swim cause my place will be under water with a 12 meter increase. Although according to Co. we're only experiencing a 2mm per year increase. So it would take, roughy, 9000 years for Boston to be below water. Okay, that puts things into perspective.
